Republic Community Garden: Our NACD Grant Success Story
Over the past two years, the National Association of Conservation Districts has awarded the Ferry Conservation District a planning and implementation grant for Urban and Community Conservation. This funding allowed us to partner with the Republic Church of the Nazarene to establish a community garden in the heart of Republic, Washington. Although the grant has concluded, the project will continue to progress as we prepare for the 2026 growing season. We would like to express our gratitude to everyone who has contributed their time or materials to help make this project possible.

2025 Fall Kindergarten ROAR Field Trip | Ferry Conservation District Outdoor Education Center
Although it was a rainy day, that didn't stop our kindergarten crew! After equipping our little outdoorsmen with the tools needed to identify shapes in nature, we set out to collect as many objects as we could that were shaped like circles, squares, and triangles. The greenhouse provided a cozy place to warm up and create our beautiful leaf crowns. And what’s an outdoor field trip without a scavenger hunt and relay races?
