Agriculture in Ferry County has declined significantly, according to data released last February from the USDA. The county and the Ferry Conservation District keep track of agricultural health through the Voluntary Stewardship Program (VSP). You are invited to attend the VSP meeting on Tuesday, September 24, at 5:30 pm at the Carousel Building at the Fairgrounds. Even if you’re not an agricultural producer, you can learn how to support agriculture in our community. If you are a rancher or farmer, your input can help the community understand the challenges you face. Starting now, we need to work together to turn this situation around.
