Dave Hedrick - District Manager
Eric Bracken, Chair
Dave became the District Manager in April of 2019 after serving as a Supervisor for several years. In addition to managing the day-to-day activities of the district, he is the lead person for outreach and communication with conservation partners. He comes to us after a long career in natural resources. His experience ranges from co-managing the timber and land on his family ranch to owning and operating a large commercial fishing boat in Alaska for 38 years. He grew up north of Colville and has resided in Ferry County for the last twenty years.
Candy Roman - Financial

Candy joined the Conservation District team in November 2014. Candy takes care of all financial matters in the office including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, grant accounting, selling maps and managing the annual plant sale. She also manages the office, keeping things organized for the District and the NRCS. Candy moved from the Seattle area to Ferry County in 2014 and has been enjoying country living on her property in Curlew.

Bill joined our staff in September 2013. He coordinates management of the Conservation District's properties. He helps with cost-share project oversight and management and with District education projects for both adults and kids. Bill developed and maintains the District's web page and edits the District's newsletter. He also assists Candy with our annual plant sale. Bill works part-time for us, while also working part-time teaching math at the Curlew Job Corps. He has lived in the Conservation District since 1994.

Jim Rochelle, Supervisor
Cindy joined the Conservation District staff in June, 2020. She is completing fieldwork and reporting on existing projects for the VSP. Cindy moved back to Washington last year after 20 years in Virginia. While there she managed a landscaping company focusing on indigenous and pollinator-friendly design in addition to teaching pollinator focused educational programs with local schools and botanical gardens.

The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is our partnering agency. As the federal arm of the conservation partnership, the NRCS handles the conservation programs outlined in the Farm Bill. The NRCS also assists the district with our objectives of developing conservation plans for cattle operators, private forest landowners, irrigators and smaller hobby farmers.

Celeste began her career with the USDA - Farm Service Agency in 2015 as the Ferry and Okanogan County Executive Director. Celeste administers agricultural programs available to farmers, ranchers and agricultural partners through the Farm Bill. Previously working as a Range Management Specialist for both the public and private sector, Celeste is committed to continuing her service to the agricultural community in Ferry County.
